I am suuuuper excited to be attending the Haven Conference in Atlanta!
I know it’s 6+ months away, but I feel sure it will be an inspirational experience, personally and professionally. You know, “professionally” as in my dream profession, my future. I signed up a month or so ago, before I started this blog. I feel a connection to the bloggers hosting and I feel certain they’ll throw a great event, plus it’s only a few hours drive from home.
I’ve been what I’ll call a “passionate blog reader” for years now. I talk to my family and friends about “this blogger” and “that blog post” all of the time in conversation (as in here), coming across as a bit of a blog stalker, I think. I knew that by committing to attending the conference, I would feel compelled to start a blog of my own. When I’m at the conference and have the opportunity to talk face-to-face and network with these designers/DIYers/artists, I want to be able to relate and take full advantage of their advice and offerings. So, it was the perfect impetus to begin this journey from the driver’s side, by starting a blog of my own. I’ve been a passenger for long enough.
